Chapter 08 — The practitioner
“Experience, understanding and an individual approach.”
Vibha Jain is the hypnotherapist behind Hypnotherapy Pvt Ltd. This page describes her experience and how she works — nothing more and nothing less than what can be stated accurately.
Introduction
Vibha Jain
Hypnotherapist, Hypnotherapy Pvt Ltd. Fifteen or more years in practice, and more than 2,400 sessions conducted with individuals across a wide range of concerns and circumstances.
Over that period, the pattern that emerges most consistently is how little two people with the same stated difficulty actually have in common. Two individuals may arrive describing “a fear of speaking in public” and be dealing with entirely different situations: one anticipating judgement, one concerned with a physical response, one for whom the whole difficulty rests on a single upcoming occasion.
That observation shapes how the work begins. Rather than fitting a person to an approach, the first task is to understand what is actually being described — specifically, in the individual’s own words, without hurrying towards a label.
It also shapes what is not offered. Where a concern would be better served by medical, psychiatric or psychological assessment, saying so is part of the work rather than an inconvenience to be talked around. A practice that is willing to say “this is not the right route for you” is a more useful one to enquire with.
Alongside individual sessions, Vibha Jain has led group awareness sessions and workshops in organisational settings, where the subject is introduced to people who have not previously considered it.
This page states experience and session numbers, and nothing beyond that. No degrees, certifications, clinical or medical qualifications, awards, registrations, professional memberships, success rates or recovery percentages are claimed on this website, because only verified information is published here.
If you would like to ask about professional background before making an enquiry, that is an entirely reasonable question and you are welcome to raise it directly.
How she works
Professional approach
Seven things that are consistent, regardless of what a person arrives with.
Listening
The first conversation is mostly the individual talking. Understanding the situation properly takes longer than categorising it, and is more useful.
Respectful communication
No one is asked to justify their reaction or told that it is irrational. A fear that affects someone’s life is worth taking seriously on its own terms.
Individual understanding
Two people with the same description are treated as two situations, not one category with two occupants.
Personalised sessions
Sessions are shaped around what the individual has described and what they have said they want, rather than following a fixed script.
Comfort
The pace is set by the person, and anything that does not feel right can be paused, changed or declined without explanation.
Appropriate boundaries
Hypnotherapy is not medical, psychiatric or psychological care and is not presented as such. Where those are needed, that is said directly.
Realistic expectations
No guarantees, no promised timelines, no claims about permanently removing fear. Expectations are discussed openly at the start rather than left to be inferred.
What to expect
The shape of the work
A general outline. The exact process varies based on individual circumstances, and any stage may take longer, be revisited, or lead to the conclusion that a different form of support is more appropriate.
Initial conversation
Understanding what is being described, in specific terms, along with any questions you want answered first.
Understanding individual goals
What you would actually like to be different, described in your terms rather than assumed.
Considering suitability
Whether this approach is appropriate for you, including the possibility that the answer is no or not yet.
Personalised sessions
Where you choose to proceed, work shaped around your goals and conducted at your pace.
Reflection & possible next steps
Reviewing what was noticed, and deciding together what — if anything — follows.
No client stories, testimonials, case studies, outcomes or identifying details are published on this website. Where a photograph from the practice includes a client, their face has been obscured.
Hypnotherapy may not be suitable for every individual or every concern, and it is not a substitute for medical, psychiatric, psychological or emergency care. Do not start, stop, or change prescribed medication without consulting an appropriately qualified prescribing healthcare professional.
